Centrifugal cast pipe dye penetrant testing
The body of the sinking roller is produced using centrifugal casting technology. The picture shows that the sinking roller body is undergoing dye penetrant testing to detect defects that cannot be recognized by the naked eye, such as small cracks. Determine whether it is within the allowable range through professional standards in order to proceed with the next step of production and processing.
The basic principle of dye penetrant testing:
Apply coloring agent to the surface of the material, allowing the coloring agent to penetrate into the damaged area. After leaving it for a period of time, rinse off the surface coloring agent. Apply developer to the cleaned surface, and the damaged area can be clearly seen due to the penetration of the coloring agent.
The main use of capillary phenomenon is to allow the penetrant to penetrate into the defect. After cleaning with a cleaning agent, the surface penetrant is removed, and the residual penetrant in the defect is adsorbed by the capillary action of the imaging agent to achieve the purpose of defect inspection.
