The Venturi tube is a differential pressure flow sensor developed based on the Venturi effect and is a standard throttling device. Venturi tubes are used to measure the flow of single-phase stable fluids in closed pipelines, and are often used to measure the flow of fluids such as air, natural gas, gas, and water. It consists of the following parts: one is the inlet cylindrical section; the other is the conical constriction section; the third is the cylindrical throat; the fourth is the conical diffusion section.

1. Features and performance of Venturi tube:

The Venturi tube is simple in structure, durable and stable in performance. The Venturi has low pressure loss and saves the energy required for fluid delivery. The Venturi tube in the range of 50~1200 diameter does not need to be calibrated in the actual flow rate. If it exceeds this range, you can refer to the design and manufacture. When higher accuracy is required, real-flow calibration can be performed.

2. The working principle of the Venturi tube:

When the medium fills the pipe and flows through the throttle valve in the pipe, the fluid forms a local constriction at the throat of the venturi. At this time, the flow rate increases and the static pressure decreases, so that a pressure difference occurs before and after the throat of the venturi. The greater the fluid flow, the greater the differential pressure created, so that the flow can be measured based on the differential pressure. This measurement method is based on the flow continuity equation and Bernoulli's equation.
